After a 41+ year career in IT (yes there were computers in the late 1960s) where I had many and various responsibilities and accomplishments, I simply wish to continue working in the software developement arena (my latest area of involvement) for another 3 or 4 years as an individual contributor. While I am well positioned to retire, I have no desire to be retired yet. I'm looking to contribute in the world of web or gui applications in the ASP .NET world or in the Java world (have considerable experience in both). My goals are personal (continue to grow in the software technology space) and financial (turn off social security and pay back what I have collected to date for a bigger monthly check in the future). I have always been successful in whatever I have been asked to do and I am a very dedicated and hard working individual. In other words, no one needs to bother with making a long term commitment to me and I will be committed to them as long as I remain inn t heir employ.
