In my 30 years of experience at Goldman Sachs, Moody’s Investors Service and Salmon, I gained meaningful experience in a wide of array of technologies. This includes Unix/Linux, Sybase SQL and DB2 UDB software as well as an acute knowledge of the infrastructure within these Firms. In many of my positions, I was multi-tasking with critical break/fix issues to ensure that the daily batch critical path was completed on schedule, Tech Infra was up and stable for a variety systems and BU’s including the trading systems. I needed to identify problems quickly, rectify the issue or escalate it, if need be. Based on feedback from my managers, I often felt that I could isolate the root cause of an issue in a convoluted situation. I have a very strong work ethic and was often called in at last minute’s notice on both weekdays and weekends to support the team as the situation warranted, and was very seldom absent in many years of good service to these Firms.
