Assistant Buyer - 6 years in fashion/retail industry with experience and knowledge in both Vendor and Merchant environments
My Career Objective is to move into an Assistant Buyer role within the retail industry. I have a combined dual experience in the industry as I have worked on both the Vendor side as well as the Merchant side. As a vendor, I primarily focused on selling our product to buyers within department stores, specialty stores as well as off-price stores. Interacting with the buyers and planners during our Market periods made me want to make the move onto the Merchant side of the business. I took a class at The Fashion Institute of Technology to prepare me for my career move onto the Merchant side. I was hired as a Location Planning Analyst and have planned Missy merchandise for two years. I am now ready to move towards my original goal of being an Assistant Buyer and then eventually a Buyer in the Retail Industry.
