About Me

Occupation:

Registered Nurse

Highlights:

This position was a promotion within my current employer from staff nurse to charge nurse. I was offered the position after after moving from Colorado. My second in the position CMS came in for a revue and the unit was cited for poor infection practice. The education team as well myself and administrator were instrimental in education and audits to improve infection practice. When the state returned in 90 days the necessary improvements were made and we passed our survey. Another accomplishment since I took this position in August has been updating vaccination records that have not been updated in over two years. I brought the records up to compliance and utilized the tools that the company requires for audit. In colorado, we had problems with labs being missed by staff, I took over the program reduced missed labs from 20% down to 5% by auditing results and having staff fill out varience reports when labs were missed.
