Aerospace and Defense - 3.5 Years Experience in Military Flight Test
I am interested in an entry-level/junior position in finance. I have spent the last few years working as an aeronautical engineer; however, I have become incredibly motivated to pursue a career in finance. The transition may be difficult at first, but I am wholly confident I will be successful. Although I have over 3 years of quality experience in my current industry as a flight test engineer, I am considering an entry-level/junior finance position (i.e. analyst) to facilitate the transition across industries. Being an engineer, I have strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving capabilities,; these qualities will help bridge the gap between the skill-set I posses now and the one that will be required in finance. Additionally, I spend the majority of my leisure time following the markets, keeping aware of the latest news in the industry, managing my own investments (401(k), IRA, brokerage accounts, etc.), and reading literature pertaining to economics and finance.
