Logistics engineer/Logistics Specialist

Logistics Engineer: Design/Implement Internal Material Routes; Improve Warehousing Operations; Streamline Material Flow; Drive Lean Production Principles throughout logistics value stream; Support logistics planning in lean initiatives; change agent for lean. Performs100% of required ergonomic evaluations, performs regular route audits; assists areas in point CIP (continuous improvement process, sigma related). Implements ship-to-line for nafta suppliers, and reduces high-rack storage for international freight where applicable. Supports operations in training and development of standard work instructions. Logistics Specialist: Responsible for planning the finished goods based on customer orders utilizing the standard Bosch Production System Leveling process, and planning of finished goods of all customers, and all components to support the machining and assembly processes. Coordination of new product releases with customer and production plant, both on finished goods and component level. Analyzes and tracks key planning parameters (i.e. customer order changes, inventory levels, premium freight development, obsolescence, etc.) Maintains planning and ordering parameters of MRP system. Analyzes and follows up on planning exception reports. Analyzes engineering changes and changes planning and picking parameters accordingly. Provides management tools for detailed look ahead at near term deviations from plan. Develops and maintains detailed data to support premium freight control system. Responsible for developing level plan per ChP leveling procedure, and supporting supplies therefore. Responsible for monitoring master manufacturing schedule to ensure on-time delivery of finished products to customers. Manufacturing supervision to establish schedule priorities. Spent time working the supply side of the supply chain as well.
