Environmental and Project Management Engineer

I have worked in the downstream petroleum industry for 27 years. As a result of diverse employment opportunities with my former company, my job duties have shifted back and forth over the years between project management and engineering-type positions to retail operations and marketing analysis. I have typically served, though, staff in retail sales ranging from gasoline and fuel service, car and truck repair, restaurants and motels. The diversity of my experience is one thing that makes me unique. I am versed in technical and regulatory matters but also understand the people side of sales and marketing. Another skill that has helped me throughout my career is an ability to explain complex matters in simple terms to lay individuals and so be able to achieve understanding or sell them on my point of view. Communications, especially in the written form, is one of my strongest points. Being a generalist, I am able to manage a diverse group of people and achieve objectives that cross traditional job functions. I can readily understand the needs and interests of various clients and help address them. My work history has been mostly one of problem solving for internal customers to aid their profit generation and business optimization. In that regard, I’ve enjoyed a fruitful career and look forward to new opportunities with the same enthusiasm.
