Business Intelligence or Budget Analyst

Dear Human Resource Representative: In chapter five of the revolutionary book, Good to Great, Jim Collins brings up the importance of passion in steering an organization toward excellence. It is the espousal of such concepts that sets me apart from any other job applicant you will encounter. I have a passion for providing executives information and vision. Currently, I am in the process of finishing my MBA. After I complete my degree in October of 2009, I have set my sights on improving and impacting the field of revenue planning. I have gained a broad range of experience in many of the areas for which you are searching. I have worked with the budgets for organizations as big as the State of Oklahoma or Maricopa County. And, I have worked on budgets as small as that of the non-profit, Governing Star Group. I have experience in getting down and dirty in day-to-day operations of small business. In fact, I was entrusted with devising, preparing and coordinating new procedures for a newly established department of Assessment and Institutional Research at Grand Canyon University. I was solely responsible for recommending new procedures for organizing semi-annual, faculty assessment conferences. In addition, I have experience in all types of report generation and management responsibilities. In fact, one of the highlights of my career as a manager occurred when I transformed an embittered employee (struggling with morale issues after GCU’s sale) into an avid learner and ally.
