I have ten years professional experience and extensive skills and abilities as a Public Affairs Specialist to explain and advocate facts, positions and agency policies in a succinct and convincing manner. This is done by responding to national daily newspaper and wire services interviews, conducting live and taped interviews for radio and TV stations and networks, and appearing before public and stakeholder groups and special interest groups by speaking before live audiences. I have the natural ability to negotiate with individual and diverse groups by establishing professional relationships with members of the national news media, consumer and special interest groups, executive staff, key agency officials, stakeholders, partner agencies and the general public at large. This is done through personal contact, phone calls, electronic messages and faxes. I also have the skill and ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with members of the national, state and local news media, stakeholder groups, and partner agencies through personal contact, news media interviews, and telephone conversations. This has been done on behalf of my current federal agency, USDA in Washington, DC, and other state agencies in Florida where I served as a Public Information Officer.
