Senior Product Design Engineer (Body-in-white and Composite Electric Vehicles)

Dear Recruiter: I am a Senior Design Engineer with extensive experience with BIW design using Catia V5 and Knowledge Based engineering tools. Since March, I have been working with Aptera Motors on a composite electric vehicle. My responsibilities include Exterior Panel (composite) and Exterior Ornamentation/Lighting design and project management. I recently left Chrysler LLC in pursuit of a challenging Product Engineering position with a company with a vision. I have 12 years of experience in BIW design (Upper/Under body, exterior panels). I have also worked 6 years as a Dimensional Control Engineer (GD&T) responsible for developing the gaging of BIW and exterior ornamentation components. My most recent position at Chrysler, Senior Design Engineer, involved product development to cost, weight and investment targets. This was accomplished without sacrificing quality or compromising our impact and NVH goals. I have vehicle launch and proto-type build experience (i.e. buy-off parts to dimensional criteria, develop ship schedule from master time line, oversee assembly/welding procedures). I also have a great deal of practical experience with stamping manufacturing along with plant automation (roll hemming, Net Form & Pierce and weld lines) I would like to work within the Aerospace/Automitive/Defense fields in a Design Engineering capacity.Thank you for your time and consideration.
