EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Champion Wuthrich Electric Inc. Durham NC, 919-697-6707 01/2007 - 04/2008 Electrical Supervisor - Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the management of one to 18 electricians on multiple job sites, and the interpretation of blue prints and submittals, incorporating all trades involved while focusing on the electrical aspects. Examples of contracts managed include the following: Coordinated the complete commercial electrical setup of a Water Treatment Plant Training Facility from slab work through the final punch list. This included, but was not limited to, generators, motor control centers, HVAC VFD’s, pumps and controls, security, voice and data wiring, sub-panels, lighting control panels with individual zones, and the installation of conduit up to 4” RMC. During this project responsibilities also included coordinating with senior members of other trades and ensuring that the project was run smoothly and was completed within the timeline established. This position also included working with existing construction to manage and coordinate the electrical work needed to remove, replace, and install HVAC pumps, fan motors, VSD’s, cooling tower, 600 amp panel, and modification of MCC buckets at the Wake County Courthouse. Supervisory business aspects of these roles included the management of a team, approval of time cards, ordering materials needed for the job, and ensuring materials were available on site as needed. Arclight Electrical Contracting Apex NC, 919-524-6321/919-267-6816 04/2004 - Present Sole Proprietor - Responsible for the research, design, preparation and marketing of estimates, preparing bids on work, purchase and delivery of all equipment required, design and completion of all accounts receivable and accounts payable documents and presenting both accordingly. Electrical work included new home construction, remodels, additions, security systems as well as irrigation systems. Acorn Industrial Inc. Raleigh NC, 919-697-1988 04/2001 - 09/2004 Electrical Foreman - Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the management of one to 20 electricians on multiple job sites. Most jobs were commercial installations. For example, the installation of a 480 volt, 3 phase, 400 amp Caterpillar Generator at Poe Hall, including transfer switch with controls, step-down transformer, subpanel in the mechanical room and 3” RMC parallel feed to panel in main server room. I supervised the work on the Small Planes Terminal at RDU Airport, including emergency and utility power, airport specs, fire alarm, security, and fiber, among other systems. Aneco Electrical Construction Raleigh NC, 919-697-1988 06/1999 - 03/2001 Mechanic - Responsibilities included supervision of 1 to 2 employees during the installation of power and communications at the RBC Center, pool pump room at TPC Players Club pool in Wake Forest, chilled water pump replacements at Harrelson Hall and installation of new circuits for fume hoods at NSCU, as well as power connections to HVAC units at UNC Heart Center. RDU Electric Cary NC, 919-427-6545 08/1995 - present Mechanic/Electrician – Started as a mechanic, but now work as a subcontracted Licensed Electrician. Responsibilities included supervising one to six employees under multiple contracts. These included, but are not limited to, working as the team leader and liaison with the NCSU department head, Gail Proper, for the installation of conduit and wireway through most of the NCSU campus under the telecommunications department. Additional drops were also completed upon request. Worked as team leader and liaison to Freddy Sinclair, at the McKimmon Center, for installation of voice, data, wireless routers and plasma televisions. I was the subcontractor for various commercial and residential projects, which I ran from blue prints or sketches, ordered and purchased materials, and did troubleshooting for any changes to plans or issues that came up. RDU Electric has also subcontracted me for emergency electrical business and calls at any given time where troubleshooting skills and strong communication skills were required to maintain a professional image and in turn satisfy the customer’s expectations with quality work.
