  • KLLM Architects is a national architectural firm with 1 office and 17 employees. The company is a privately held firm with 5 partners and revenues approximately $24 million. The company’s focus was residential, commercial and industrial projects. As Director of Operations, I was hired to provide leadership to a failing residential division, where the former partner had struggled. Additionally, I was responsible for client negotiations, staff management and P & L. Accomplishments attained while at this firm included: • Restructured the failing business by redesigning the corporate model. This included modifications to existing contracts, establishing a new pricing model both of which increased revenues. This enabled a failing practice to rebound and generate a $16 million profit over two years. • Designed details and provided technical expertise to staff on projects including: residential, commercial and industrial projects to increase the quality and constructability. • Developed a project management focus for staff to provide them greater leadership roles. This allowed for projects to be run with greater success and increased profitability. • Developed technical training courses for staff to educate them on detailing a variety of conditions including: roofs, wall assemblies, fire and acoustical detailing, flashings. This increased the quality of the documentation and provided reduced liability exposure.
