  • Managed the reentry into the retail market by the commercial equipment rental business division. Mission assigned was to the creation of a walk- in retail business to 260 branches of a 2.9 billion dollar commercial equipment rental corporation. Managed the development and scope of the retail business from products, pricing, sales plans, compensation programs and product selection. Evaluated the retail market for size, potential and major competitors within the rental industry. Worked with major vendors on corporate promotions used in branches, store presentation and marketing. Worked with RVP's, District Managers, Key Account market reps and local branch managers on the development and implementation of the retail merchandising and marketing program. Developed test bed store presentations, in store marketing and out of store marketing programs. Expanded and championed the "Pro Box" concept to add sales to stores with poor locations and walk-in traffic. Managed cross team relationships with purchasing, operations and marketing. Formed corporate "Retail Committee" to bring forward best ideas and draw upon past successes. Visited retail locations, identified roll-out plans to bring new concepts to stores. Saw expanded customer service through better assortments and store layouts to drive sales. Sales increased 28%. Assisted RVP's & DM's in identifying site locations for new branches and the reduction of underperforming business units.
