Network/Systems Administrator

I managed Mayfair Mills Inc. Corporate Offices Main Frame computer, as the Systems Administrator, as well as the Network Administrator for Mayfair’s Lan/Wan in the corporate office for 5 servers and 6 servers at our remote plants. I worked for years as a Cobol Programmer/ Analyst before assuming the Networking Administration duties as well. I both installed and intergraded PC, Network, and Mainframe software, and hardware to make a wide area network function smoothly. In Mayfair’s corporate office I did all software installations, ordering, and license evaluations as users were not allowed to order or install software on their computers. I also ordered all software and software licenses and hardware for the Lan/Wan systems. I served as our companies Help Desk for software and hardware problems. I also ordered computers, laptop computers and additional components to meet user needs. I coordinated service calls and software installation on all computer systems including our telephone data lines which were Frame Relay. I also handled service calls on the DSL line that we used for Internet access and email. I was also the Administrator of the 8 Novell Servers, and 2 Windows NT/2000 Citrix Servers. I am trained on Windows Vista as well now. I also am very experienced with all releases of Microsoft Office, and Mcafee antivirus and Netshield. I did assist the IT Manager in the technical aspect of our department's functions and I feel that my years of experience would qualify me for the position you are trying to fill. My previous company of 21 years, Mayfair Mills Inc. filed for chapter 11 and my job ended there as the company went out of business.
