  • Developed and managed flying training policy requirements for all United States Air Force helicopters and special operations aircraft. Assisted in managing $790M Special Operations and Combat Rescue aircrew training program. Authored and edited syllabi for over 100 flying training courses in seven major weapons systems. Drafted and coordinated training, operations and standardization and evaluation policies for AETC/A2A3 with Air Staff, five MAJCOMs and other staff agencies. Studied and completed Defense Acquisition University Acquisition 101 course. Possess working knowledge of the DOD Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Execution System and resource allocation process; AF policies and procedures for developing the Program Objective Memoranda process, the Budget Estimate Submissions and Financial Plans. Subject matter expert in the operations, products, services, needs and goals of Special Operations and Combat Search and Rescue programs and related customer functions, resources and users. Subject matter expert for rated and non-rated aviator Air Force Special Operations and Combat Rescue training, operating procedures and standardization and evaluation programs. Project lead to research, study, analyze and present possible solutions to General Officer-level decision makers on the HH-60G Flight Engineer washout rate at the formal training unit. Coordinated with Air Force Research Lab to further study the issue. Developed and coordinated a small group tryout through the Air Staff to study and evaluate a Flight Engineer undergraduate flying course that coincided with helicopter pilot undergraduate flight training. Led team of instructors to conduct the course, tracked students through graduate training and presented findings to decision makers resulting in Genereal Officer-level approval to proceed with the initiative. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Inspector for AETC Inspector General's Operational Readiness Inspections.   • First line supervisor for seven enlisted personnel. Conducted periodic performance reviews, feedback and annual appraisals. Wrote Airman/NCO of the quarter and Airman/NCO of the year awards packages. Managed day-to-day flight and ground training currencies for 30 crew members in three crew positions. Scheduled and conducted ancillary, ground and flying training ensuring personnel met highest levels of combat capability. Active aircrew member - Performed and instructed flight engineer duties including aircraft preflight, weight and balance, takeoff and landing data computations and monitored aircraft systems in-flight. USAF - 58th Training Squadron

  • Responsible for procurement, modification, maintenance and management of the HH-60G Flight Engineer student and instructor formal aircrew training courses. Ensured the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process was correctly applied to all flight engineer courseware. Developed, wrote, validated and revised student initial qualification and instructor courseware as well as managed and directed flight engineer requirements for two aircrew training devices worth over $80M. Coordinated with higher headquarters on evolving operational requirements to maintain up-to-date curriculum. Compiled information used to calculate flying time and recommended aircrew training standards, policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of learning was achieved. Instructed and evaluated student flight engineers on HH-60G academics, aircraft systems, procedures, combat search and rescue operations, helicopter gunnery, alternate insertion/extraction operations and night vision goggle training. Participated in flights as a combat-ready crew member and enlisted aircrew instructor.

USAF - 512th Rescue Squadron

Manager

  • Managed and developed short-and-long range scheduling plans for the USAF's only H-60 formal training unit. Published daily schedules for formal school students, permanent party instructor currency and unit instructor indoctrination training. Monitored currency for over 125 formal school students per year. Exercised general supervisory duties over 80 students per year. Ensured students met all requirements for course completion. Counseled students when performance standards were not met. Made recommendations to commander on whether to retain or eliminate problem students. Assisted the scheduling officer in planning detailed flying hour program in excess of 3,500 hours of the unit's 13 assigned helicopters. Fully qualified HH-60G evaluator Flight Engineer; instructed and evaluated both formal school students, permanent party instructors and instructor candidates in contact, emergency procedures, unprepared area/remote operations; tactical mission events to include both day and night vision goggle aerial refueling, low-level flight operations down to 50 feet above ground level, weapons employment with GAU-2 minigun and alternate insertion/extraction operations including hoist, fast rope, rope ladder and rappel.
