Experienced film editor and assistant for over 20 years, seeks to make transition to television. Proficient in both the Avid and Final Cut Pro, has worked under the most difficult and stressful environments and lived to tell about it. Motivated, hard-working, reliable, and loyal, can get out of most technical difficulties before calling a tech. Educated at Columbia College, Hollywood, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema in 1985. In 1987, started in the trailer department at Cannon Films, quickly moving up to assistant, working with Oscar nominated film editor Henry Richardson on four films and acclaimed music editor John Strauss, learning the art of music and sound editing from the two masters. Since 1989, Alex has been a member of Local 700, the Motion Picture Editor’s Guild, and has worked on big budget studio releases with some of Hollywood’s top editors.
