Description
A company where I can grow, where I can be rewarded for my timely contributions, where my ability to produce high-quality work on deadline is appreciated. I'm a creative person, and I enjoy working with other creative types. I like a good mix of in-office work and interacting with people outside the office. I seek a job where I can work as part of a team on projects or as a self-starter responsible for my own assignments. I'm open to relocating, however I seek a daily commute of less than 30 miles.

Accomplishments
Highlights:
The Society of the Silurians, an organization of journalists in the New York metropolitan area, honored me for Outstanding Sports Coverage when I served as a New York Yankees beat writer for Gannett. I'm proud of this because Gannett-Westchester is the smallest of the eight newspapers that covered the Yankees full-time, yet my peers recognized my hustle, initiative and reportage. I'm also proud of writing and reporting awards I earned from Gannett, and a Sun God Award for Excellence in Sports Research from the Society Of North American Hockey Researchers. The award was in recognition of my first book, "Breaking the Ice: The Black Experience in Professional Hockey" (Insomniac Press, 2004).Companies I like:
CNN, ESPN, NBC, ABC, Sports Illustrated, New York magazine, MLB Network, National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League
