Professional of the Year Award for my work in legislation by the Central New York Rehabilitation Council Recognized for making the most presentations (44) for the United Way Speakers Bureau Set-up and ran my agency's Low Vision Center for 6 years Set-up and served as Project Coordinator for our agency's Telephone Switchboard Service at the VA Medical Center Researched Zoos around the world to see how they adapted their programs for people with vision and/or hearing loss Developed and ran my agency's Job Club for 3 years Participated in the development and implementation of our agency's Vocational Skills Program Participated in the development of our agency's "Soft Skills" Program Serve on the Accessible Transportation Advisory Council for our county's paratransit service Learned to use the state's new accessible voting machines so that I could demonstrate them to voters with disabilities prior to the 2008 Election As part of a coalition, I am working with the Board of Elections to insure that the 2009 election works better for voters with disabilities Do internet research on a wide variety of issues
