I was hand selected for I-9 training and re-education via call center participation. Compliance to federal immigration documentation has become increasingly important, especially in the staffing industry. My participation in the I-9 Call Center allowed me to interface with hundreds of employees throughout the country and to support the initiatives of Kelly Services.
New Orleans was one of 7 districts I supported and when hurricane Katrina hit I immediately began to call and to locate New Orleans employees and their family members. I suggested and received permission to use company funds to supply instant-use cell phones, food, clothes and other necessities.
