Highlights:
****2006 Outstanding Contributor, Google Innovations, Google, Inc., for my work managing the project that led to the B-Java Tool which allows developers to test code across multiple platforms as it is written, complied and executed. Cost saving estimated to anywhere from 50-90% in time when engaged in development with the B Java Tool
***2004 The Livingston Award for Creative Achievement in Information Technology, Stanford University, for my work with the Artificial Intelligence Team. As project manager we doubled our budget, and expanded our research to include nano technology.
*****2001 Project Manager: The Human Genom Project, The Center for Disease Control, Atlanta, Georgia. Successfully moved the Human Genom Project from a "Super Comuter" based research effort, to a multi-networked system of distributed computers covering most States in this country. This allowed computations to complete saving 10 (ten) years of computation time! Very significant (yet, of course, very difficult to measure cost savings in this senario).*****
Companies I like:
Google, Grisoft, Yahoo, Ubuntu
As IT lead I moved my last company from a Windows network to a LAMP network resulting in a cost saving of over $100,000 per year.
At that same organization, due to the savings in time and money, I was able to implement an online support service that generates new revenue streams projected to reach well over one million dollars in annual revenue starting the second year.
