Highlights:
Patient Support
o General Information: Locations, Health Insurance, treatments and fees
o Eligibility Checks: Contact Insurance company and determine the eligibility of a patient
o Messages: Input customer information into the EMR system when they request a follow up call
NP Support
o EMR systems- Assist NP’s on how to troubleshoot errors they receive while using the EMR.
o Email: Reset passwords and assist on how to use the outlook program
o Hardware: Assist NP’s on what to look for and how to recognize problems
General and Administrative Duties
o Transfer calls to the proper department
o Fax confidential information to patients and medical facilities
o Listen to all voicemails from Contactual. I fwd voicemails that belong to other departments and follow up on messages requesting general information.
o Process all emails received from www.TAKECAREHEALTH.COM site: Read, respond, and fwd emails. We receive emails about employment, treatments, partnerships and various other topics.
o Maintain all documents relevant to the PSC on hard copy and electronically.
Special Assignments and Projects
o Billing Department: Assisted tracking insurance cards and submitting completed tasks through IDX. I was taught a portion of the IDX system here at TCHS.
o Recruiting: Assist in looking up phone numbers of prospective NP’s. Use the Internet, Superpages.com. Assisted with bulk mailing: stuffed envelopes with various TCHS items.
o Translate: Translating our Kiosk information in Spanish preparing for entry to the Miami market. Occasionally translate entire office visits for NP’s when patients only speak Spanish.
o Marketing: Performed outbound calls to collect information for our marketing department. Tracked which advertising mediums were being used by TCHS patients.
