Started working with the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa in May 2006. Started out as a Corporate Management Trainee which let me work two weeks in each department of the hotel, getting to know the roles of each department and how that particular department plays a role in the entire sceme of running a hotel. Then I was offered the Assistant Restaurant Manager, where I started in November 2006, and currently still work. I oversee a three meal restaurant, a golf course clubhouse restaurant, an espresso/coffee shop bar, and in-room dining (room service). I oversee about 75 employees. I also fill in for managers in other Food and Beverage departments on their "off" days or when they take vacation.
