Was assigned to several additional capital and expense projects to implement because the engineering department was tied up with a major expansion. One of the projects was to replace a large hot oil heater in the utility area that had some major damage to it shortly after going to work at the site. This project was completed with in its $1.5MM budget and on time for the new expansion start up. Was also actively involved in the Hurricane Katrina recovery work in the utility area. This was a major challenge as the storm brought 5-6 feet of water over the entire site. Communication to the rest of the area was severally hampered but I was able to contact and schedule several vendor techs in to help with the damage assessment and the necessary repairs of critical equipment needed to start up the utility area. To get this area up I worked 12 hours a day 6-7 days a week for approximately 9 weeks. There was a lot of pressure to get the utility area up as soon as possible before the rest of the site could begin their start up. I continue to be asked to help on several different projects out side of my department because of my past work experiences.
