I was involved in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of InfoWorkSpace; a collaborative tool used by the military, DOD, and commercial customers, on both UNIX and Windows based systems. I was given a staff of 6 and the responsibility for 24x7x365 customer support for more than 500 clients globally.
I created policies and procedures for the Help Desk and its staff, as well as enforced both. This required a full understanding of how the software functions, making code/file changes, Operating System administration, and network analysis. Our product focused on all of the Netscape SuiteSpot servers and allowed me to gain first hand knowledge of each of them. We have recently integrated Oracle database into our product giving me a chance to learn administration and troubleshooting of user functions of Oracle.
