After successfully completing my CSC engagement, a local Denver-based staffing company recruited me to re-engineer their staffing/recruiting effort to address the Managed Recruiting and Staffing needs within the IT industry. I achieved a successful launch of key partnerships (major job board and top 5 VMS/ATS tool vendor) and the “SmartStaffing S2” program within 3 months of operation including the start up of a new recruiting center. The recruiting center has successfully placed 10’s of candidates under my management and is experiencing solid growth. I have been responsible for the initial recruiting effort and the recruiting/training of the new recruiters.
Computer Sciences Corporation – Sr. Member of the Advisory Staff
2003 – 2006 (Contracted to CSC during 2000 to 2003)
CSC presented a career growth opportunity for me to expand my recruiting and staffing experience knowing full well that if I was successful in this endeavor, my position would be eliminated. However, to take full advantage of this opportunity, I needed to become an employee of CSC. Upon joining CSC, I continued promulgating the “Employee Mobility” and “SmartStaffing” programs through training, while also taking on more strategic management and business process consulting roles.
? Vendor Training – Trained CSC prime vendors to use the “SmartStaffing” skills match process. Results: 35 percent increase in placements in the first month that the process was rolled out. Reduced unwanted bulk resume flow, producing the “right resource at right time”.
? Transition Support for New Business – Managed new client, vendor/contractor and staff augmentation resources during the transition of multi-million dollar IT outsourcing deals.
? Recruiting Consultant for Executive VP’s and their managers - Supported multiple business units of over 9000 employees. Staffing tools, recruiting processes, redeployment/staff augmentation and contractor engagements were all part of this effort.
? Recruiting and Retention Trainer – Trained various recruiting and staffing initiatives to increase effectiveness and reduce hiring times and costs. Also trained retention processes to reduce overall need for recruiting and staffing.
? RFP Review Board – As a member of this board, I provided key recruiting/staffing process and knowledge during a major CSC contingent labor outsourcing initiative. I participated in the design of the outsource RFI and reviewed and advised executive management on the various vendor proposals that we received, allowing implementation of a new contingent labor solution for CSC.
