Description
Direct workflow segments and make decisions concerning the financial management, scheduling, procurement, and overall performance of a project. Project planning Monitor labor productivity Project execution and closure, and all project functions as they relate to safety, quality control, and team management. Accountable and responsible for the overall completion of a project. Oversees contractor activities and major construction projects. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling of major construction projects. Coordinates Lockheed Martin construction engineers and agency support teams, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Engineering. Coordinates AEC design and construction activities with utilities, public and private organizations, and AHJ's. Assists in negotiating with contractors regarding changes to design, construction work scope, and schedules. Monitors compliance with construction contract terms to ensure that contracted work is on schedule, within budget, and complies with technical and legal requirements. Oversees Engineering/Procurement/Construction Mgt. & Validation [EPCMV] preparation of final design documents, bid forms, pre-bid conferences, and evaluation of received proposals. Prepares construction project status reports and updates. Has budget accountability for assigned area or more than one specialty area. Represents Lockheed Martin before the public and other governmental agencies.
