CollapseDescription

ASME Code Committee Members of B31.3, Subgroup D and B31 MTC. Responsible as Piping Material Lead (Supervise) Engineer such as planning, staffing, estimating hours required for scope of works included assigned the works to other engineers, piping material class index, cross reference between company specifications and Client or Licensor specifications. Performed pipe wall thickness, reverse pressure calculations, external pressure calculations, and etc. Responsible for developed, or checked and approved piping technical specifications, piping material class specifications, valve data sheets, piping specialty items data sheets/drawings. Responsible for checked and approved the output of piping material class specifications from Smart Plant Material (SPM) or Matman systems. Review, comments and approved P&IDs/Line List to ensure for proper selected piping material classes, material, valves, spec breaks, and meet piping design codes or project standards or client requirements. Discuss and work with client to solve problems, safety, avoid reworks, provide ideas to save cost, and ensure meet client expectations. Responsible for Shop / Field Break for all the piping components in material system. Prepared and created piping requisition and purchase packages. Evaluated technical bid tab for piping requisition packages. Reviewed and approved vendor drawings and documents. In Global development team of CMS: Helped and developed the CMS Standards, Procedures, Drawings, and Guidelines which resulted in 20% to 60% less time execution and 20% to 40% less cost for manpower and project purchased piping items. The CMS Standards, Procedures, Drawings, Guidelines such as: Standard of Piping Material Classes (PMCs) of CS/API, Low/High Alloy, Nickel Alloy, Inconel 600, Duplex & Super Duplex, GRP (Glass-Fiber Reinforced Plastic), Teflon Lined Pipe, HDPE, CPVC, Pipeline, Offshore, and etc. Piping Engineering Technical Specifications (eg. Technical Specifications for Piping, Fittings, Flanges, Gaskets, Valves, etc.), Piping Specialty Item Specifications, and Valve Data Sheets per API, AWWA, Special Valves, and etc.). Smart Plant Materials (Intergraph SPM/Marian) Development Guideline for what need to build in the new Group, Part and Commodity Code in consistency. Also, build commodity and Idents Code for pipe, pipe components, and valves. PMC Input Guideline for how to input the PMC's into the SPM system in efficiency way and consistency. Piping Stress Engineer: Responsible as Piping Stress Lead Engineer such as planning, staffing, estimating hours required for scope of works included assigned the works to other engineers and ensured that they understand the concept of hot climate analysis and that their stress analysis complies with project specifications and requirements. Responsible for checking and approving stress ISOs, stress calculations and reports, stress loads on plant study and spring support data. Perform piping stress analysis considering pressure, deadweight, thermal, seismic, and wind for piping systems such as Pumps, Pull-station-Pumps, Pressure Vessels, Coke Drums, Air Coolers, Heat Exchangers, Steam Lines, Vibration, Gas Vapor Lines, and Flare Lines. Perform minimum wall thickness calculations for special flange to meet the project design pressure. Perform minimum wall thickness calculation and size stiffener rings if required when piping system is subjected to vacuum pressure. Responsible for evaluation of piping system analysis by computer programs such as Caesar II. Familiar with most piping supports, struts, snubbers and springs support. Piping Plant Designer: Responsible include O&E, Plan Study, PFD's, and Plot plan's by computer programs such as AutoCAD, Microstation and PDS. Responsibilities for modeling mechanical equipments, placing pipe supports, and scrubbing ISO by computer programs such as PDS. Layout and modeling piping systems of Tanks, Air Coolers and Pumps areas by computer programs such as PDS. Responsibilities include pipe material & valves take off and input valves into PipeWorks. Codes and Standards: American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME): B31.3, B31.1, B31.4, B31.8, B16.5, B16.9, B16.10, B16.20, B16.47, and etc. American Petroleum Institute (API): 600, 602, 608, 609, 610, 6A, 6D and etc. American Water Works Association (AWWA): C104, C105, C115, C515, C509, and etc. Manufacturers Standardization Society (MSS): SP-95, SP-97, SP-81, SP-83, SP-88, and etc.
