A high performer with 18 years plus of extensive formulation development experience in the field of controlled-release drug delivery system using biodegradable (biocompatible) polymers for ophthalmic indications, with a proven track record of drug development from inception to clinical trials. An expert in areas of preformulation, formulation, in-vivo study, in-vitro testing, manufacturing process and scale-up, and technology transfer to commercial manufacturing sites. Developed a new method for controlled-release of proteins and biologics. Extensive experience in synthetic organic chemistry at Syntex research (Roche) where more than 50 chemically distinct compounds (small molecules including heterocycles, steroids, prostaglandins, peptides) were synthesized.
