Description
Born in Chicago and raised in its suburbs, I went from a high school auto mechanic (honors in Welding, SUN Automotive) to a Metallurgical and Materials Engineer from the Illinois Institute of Technology. My experience ranges from Lead Automotive Auditor for a Top Five certification body to managing World-Wide Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for a range a Tractor-type Tractors, and Excavators at Caterpillar. With my Lean, Six Sigma experience I have the ability see areas where there are throughput, over-handling and nonconformance problems associated with scrap as well as develop and apply TAKT, Swim Lanes, and Process Flows, to improve process capability indexes and compliance to approved Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Recording new occurrences and developing poke-a-yoke devices to reduce RPN's via FMEA (4th edition). OBSESSION My obsession lies in working in a team environment as either a subject matter expert, program manager, or coordinator of a project. Continuing my education to ensure the application APQP and running successful lean-6 Sigma programs. Certified Greenbelt through Caterpillar and GE and facilitated 5 Six-sigma Blackbelt projects (at Weber-Stephens Products) with suppliers and internal Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE's).
