Energy Conservation and Administration Have designed and managed successful energy conservation programs on the local, 600K sq ft, and corporate, 13,000K sq ft, levels. The energy budget on the corporate level totaled over $32 million. The programs have included justification, design and installation of energy management systems periodic energy audits and reports, and instituting employee awareness programs. Have also negotiated electrical supply contracts in direct access states. Performed economic analyses of cogeneration and other cost savings projects. Used BLAST and EnergyPlus to perform computer analyses of energy conservation methods at a wide variety of sites. Earned both plant and group level achievement award for my accomplishments in this area. Project Management Have successfully managed numerous projects up to $3MM from design through start-up. Have used PERT, CPM, and Gantt charts, both manually and computerized, to consistently complete the projects within budget and schedule. My responsibilities have included the preparation and maintenance of the project management tools supervising engineers and designers in plant layout and equipment design preparation of equipment specifications and bid packages equipment inspection and acceptance scheduling and supervising contractors during installation supervising the checkout and start-up and preparation of operation and maintenance manuals. Computer Aided Design and Engineering Justified and installed microprocessor and minicomputer based CAD systems. Served as system administrator and provided operator training. Established standards and procedures for the systems. Setup system to electronically transfer drawings between sites. Have used PC based software packages for applications such as determining HVAC loads, duct sizing and building energy analysis. Have extensive experience with the standard software packages such as word processing, spreadsheets and data base management systems Facilities Engineering and Operations Have extensive experience in designing, analyzing, and optimizing HVAC systems, including computer room air conditioning systems, process exhaust systems, high and low pressure steam and condensate systems, chilled and hot water distribution systems, and process heating and cooling systems as well as standard building heating and cooling systems. Designed and implemented a preventative maintenance program. Managed 15 building maintenance and operational personnel at several sites. Process and Equipment Design Have wide range of design experience across multiple industries. Have been responsible for design of instrument and control systems using both stand alone and computer integrated systems. Have designed material handling and distribution systems for bulk and discrete materials. Have designed and implemented pilot plant studies and used the results for full scale systems. Have analyzed systems and equipment, identified weak and problem areas, and designed and implemented corrections. Have used computer simulations to optimize layouts for minimum material handling costs.
