Lead a team of 15 personnel in all activities related to the development and implemen- tation of support services for the Shell trading North American team. Administer, eval- uate, and improve various operational tasks and processes, including SOX/business controls, disclosures, trade books, and financial reconciliations. Promoted cross-departmental alignment and communication, working effectively to meet and Strategic Planning exceed corporate goals. & Forecasting Key Accomplishments: * Successfully reduced the Domestic Crude Trade Book to Financial gap from $15 to $20 million down to $1 million. Accounting & Reporting * Supported the Front, Mid and Back Office for process and system defect management after the implementation of an end to end trading system. Internal Audit/Controls (SOX) BUSINESS ARCHITECT, BLUEPRINT PRODUCTS * 2013 to 2016 Directed up to 15 staff in the creation, execution, and ongoing maintenance of an end-to-end trading system. Produced daily and monthly profit, loss, and exposure reporting that allows strategic decision-making by the corporate trading team. Administrative Operations Key Accomplishments: Contract Negotiations * Successfully Managed a team that designed and implemented an Endur sponsored end to end trading system for Shell Trading North America. * Designed and implemented the first daily and monthly Trade Book to Financial Project Management reconciliation for Shell Trading N.A. CONTROLLER, PRODUCTS * 2006 to 2013 Financial Management Oversaw all accounting activities of the back office, including A/P, A/R, Inventory, Budgeting, Forecasting Operations Support, Financial Reporting, Trade Book to Financial, and new business. and Analysis Key Accomplishments: Talent Selection, Development * Hired, directed, and evaluated over 50 employees, ensuring all activities were executed productively and corporate goals were exceeded. & Retention * Administered a $6 million department budget. * Collected over $10 million in pass due receivables. Problem Resolution * Successfully migrated 50 mid and back office roles to India. * Received a promotion during this time, based on my success in migrating these roles to India.
