My "contract" vice president role is to develop business extensions consistent with Sterling's renewable energy development programs. This includes recruiting partner organizations to fulfill projects. Principal activities are business case development, project design and implementation, and business strategy. SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC USA, INC Senior Program Manager 2008 - 2016 Schneider bought the RETX group from Allied (below) in 2008, integrating it into the much larger organization. I became Schneider's internal subject matter expert and external thought leader on the customer facing aspects and internal implications of changing US. energy markets. This involved spotting major trends, communicating and forecasting to senior management, and working with Schneider's internal departments and external distribution channels. Assessed potential lines of business by supporting legal and risk management. Designed and implemented first autonomous commercial building energy management system which generated energy savings of $1.1M annually, returning customer's investment in less than 6 months (Rockefeller Center). Co-wrote key interoperability standards for utility to customer grid integration, allowing open-system design and resulting in lower costs and greater vendor flexibility. Worked extensively with Schneider standards group in France. Gained recognition as top 5 demand response vendor by branding through thought leadership, trade press articles, speeches, and regulatory testimony. Maintained shareholder and customer interest while gaining critical time for new product development and fending off competitors.
