My goal is to work in the sport Industry starting with an entry level scouting position, then work my way up to a pro scouting position with a professional sports team and a chance to head a scouting department COVER LETTER: To Whom It May Concern, It is with confidence that I recommend Cadon Schmidt as a qualified applicant for the position of Assistant Baseball Coach. For 2 years, I worked as his instructor, academic advisor and assisted him with his professional development. The consistent professional and personal maturity over the past year that I have seen in Cadon has been amazing. There is no doubt that he will be dedicated to continuing that growth as he takes his academic career to the next level. Cadon has always been continuously accountable for his academic success and provided excellent work within the classroom. His level of academic performance and his overall intellectual ability has been great throughout the time that I have worked with him. His overall commitment to learning and professional development, along with his strong initiative are prime examples of behavior that will lead to success as an Intern or employee. Based on his well-rounded experiences and his overall work ethic, it is with conviction that I say Cadon has promise as a professional. Cadon has continually provided examples of why he will be successful during the next stage of his academic career and the next step in his professional career. It is with confidence that I recommend Cadon Schmidt for the opportunity to continue his journey as a talented student and professional with your organization. Sincerely, Tyler T. Tracy To whom it may Concern: As commissioner of Class B American Legion Baseball, I had the opportunity to work with Cadon Schmidt, during the state tournament at Steele. He functioned in dual capacity as the head coach of Kidder County and as tournament manager. The tournament ran as smoothly as any I've been associated with and his ability as a coach was very evident. Cadon was very efficient behind the scenes and had a very professional presence as the tournament proceeded. Based on my observation Cadon will be an excellent addition to the work force in whatever he chooses. Sincerely: Eugene F Kachena To Whom It May Concern: This letter is to express my unqualified support of Cadon Schmidt as a potential candidate in your program. I have had the privilege to watch Cadon grow from a reserved teenager into a confident and focused adult. As the head coach for the North Dakota State University Club baseball team, I have coached Cadon since 2014 and hold no reservations speaking on behalf of not only his work ethic, but his character and commitment. Cadon's greatest attributes are not his exceptional athletic ability or success as a baseball player, although in both those areas he would not give himself the deserved credit. Rather, his conviction and unrelenting work ethic are a rarity and his most admirable qualities. I have been around young adults in a myriad of ways. I captained two different teams as a Division 1 scholarship athlete, played and coached professional baseball, and served as an editorial assistant for an internally published journal while finishing my graduate degree. Throughout all those varying experiences and interactions, I have found very few young men as impressive as Cadon. When he arrived on campus, Cadon was the final player chosen to make our team's roster. Over the course of the next four years he grew into a major contributor for our team, but more importantly, as one the pillars of our program. Cadon has served tirelessly as one of our club officers for the past three years. He has balanced a difficult class curriculum while coordinating our club's scheduling, budget, travel, fundraising, all while being an important contributor to our team on the field. Despite the numerous responsibilities placed upon him, Cadon has never requested any preferential treatment and most impressively, has expected and demanded the same level of commitment from his teammates as one of our unquestioned leaders. Cadon's commitment to growing as an athlete, and more importantly, a successful adult, is what distinguishes him from the average person. Some find motivation from failure, while some find it from success. Very few people pursue success and seek out ways for betterment regardless of their experiences. Whether he found impressive achievements or disappointing failures, Cadon demonstrated the same level of commitment to maximizing his talents and to take time to elevate his peers. When he was not being used as a pitcher for us, he would consistently interact and discuss things with his teammates to improve their and the team's performance. Although he was not a gregarious teenager, over his time at North Dakota State, Cadon became comfortable displaying his talents to those around him, while still maintaining the patience to be able to listen and learn from the experiences that were presented to him. There are too many examples to list to fully illustrate Cadon's value, however, a man of his character and conviction do not present themselves frequently. He would undoubtedly be an asset to any program or organization he represented. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact me at 605-360-5695, or zimm957@hotmail.com. I hope you seriously consider Cadon and best of luck with your decision. Kole Zimmerman Head Coach, NDSU Club Baseball
