* Registered Professional Engineer Alberta and Ontario. * 20+ years' experience as a highly organized Civil/Structural Engineer, effective from initial DBM stage through FEED and final design, and at construction support activities of major projects such as processing, mining, refining, upgrading, oil & gas and compressor/processing plant facilities. * 10+years' experience in brownfield to validate existing structure and foundation, and modification and reinforcement of the existing structure and foundation for the reuse. * Expert in design of concrete and steel structures of various types including piles and foundations. * Strong analytical and structural modeling skills * Extensive experience and skills in review of existing structure and foundation and geotechnical conditions, and evaluation of existing structure and foundation for the reuse to accommodate addition loads. Modification and reinforce to existing steel structures as needed. * Extensive experience and skills in review and evaluation geotechnical report to determine cost effective foundation and retaining wall options, and experience in assessing liquefaction soil conditions and determining of ground treatment options in seismic zones * Investigate and solve field and design problems, holding site visits and inspections. * Leading a team of Civil/Structural engineers for executing various types and sizes of projects that include concrete and steel structures as well as piles and foundations. * Developing conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering calculations, drawings and specifications. * Integrate and communicate a team approach with all other engineering disciplines for the successful execution of a project within schedule and budget. * Maintain strict compliance with corporate safety programs, policies, and procedures. * Communicate and interface openly and frequently with project managers, project engineers and other discipline engineers and participate in periodic project reviews and squad check. * Implementing change management procedures. * Develop and implement continuous improvement process/lessons learned with EPC and contractors. * Able to travel as needed with various durations to support construction * Familiar with Codes, Specifications, and Standards from America (UBC, ACI, AISC LRFD/ASW/AWS, AASHTO, ASCE, ASTM, API Design Manual etc), British (BS8110, BS5950) and Canada (The National Building Code, BC and Alberta Building Codes, Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, Handbook of Steel and Concrete Construction, CSA Standards, BC, Alberta OH&S Regulation). * Very familiar with structural software such as STAAD-Pro., SAP2000, S-Frame, Dyna5, Navisworks Freedom and Smart Plant Review Area of Experience Engineering and Design * Design of concrete and steel structures of all industrial facilities, including their piles and foundations. * Oil & gas facilities ( piles and foundation, pipe racks, modular structures, vessel foundations, vibrating equipment, admin buildings, e-house, process equipment foundations including group separators and pressure vessels, etc.). * Mining facilities (Slurry preparation plant, transfer tower, conveyor and crusher foundation, gland water and glycol tank foundation, approach slab and maintenance slab, emergency dump pond/ trenches, etc.). * Gas Plant and Compressor Stations (civil earthwork, site preparation and drainage, access and plant road, compressor and compressor building foundations, compressor and generator building, pipe rack module steel, etc.). * Power generation plants (Flue gas ducts, concrete frames, structural steel, piles and concrete foundations, vibratory equipment/machine foundations, turbine building, boiler building, etc.). * Storage facilities (Silos, bunkers). Construction Support * Investigating field problems, preparing on-site investigation reports and problem solving alternatives * Conduct site and module yard inspection walk down and review conformance with drawings and specifications * Identify and address technical issues, respond to RFI's, resolve spec deviations, and ensure consistency and continuity throughout various area of the facility * Support of various construction activities ensuring conformance with drawings and industry practice.
