* Managed the permitting, refurbishment, staffing, startup, commissioning, and transition to full power commercial operation on two separate power plants that had both been abandoned for over ten years. * Transitioned a new construction 49.9 MW stoker boiler from the end of construction, through hiring, operator training, commissioning, and commercial operation. * Performed optimization of the unit, resolving substantial operating problems caused by biomass fuel that far exceeded the designed fuel moisture content, as well as spontaneous combustion of carbon in the flyash caused by high temperature operation of the baghouse for the NOx and CO catalysts that exceed the spontaneous combustion temperature for carbon. * Developed a comprehensive understanding of multiple O&M agreements to ensure that all requirements were met in a timely manner. Worked with the facility owners and managers to ensure that all parties had the same understanding of the requirements and that their goals and objectives were met or exceeded. * Extensive budgeting experience including development of innovative operating strategies, bottom-up budget development, budget implementation, monthly forecasting, and annual review. Budgets have been accurate, challenging, and have been an invaluable capital management tool.
