a position as a creative photojournalist, photo editor and/or copy/editor, ideally one that allows me to apply my strong background in sports and outdoors-adventure story telling. Bio-sketch While earning my BA in Journalism, I interned with George Tanner, editor at the Denver Post, who re-introduced me to soccer in Colorado in the summer of 2009 through coloradosoccernow.com. There I honed my photo research, editing and toning skills, and learned how to chose photos to match the story. After graduation from Metro State, I worked at Mountain Magazine outdoor lifestyle magazine with the accomplished creative director and photographer Dave Cox. Through him I learned how outdoor lifestyle magazines work: how to collect content, showcase photographs and design layouts for print. Having an eye for action and traditional sports I was promoted to Associate Photo Editor there. I have recently started my own sports media company, Elevated Sports Media, to showcase unique and fascinating Colorado sport's and athlete's stories. I am an effective photo editor, writer and photographer, collecting content in a variety of situations ranging from high-speed sports photography to casual, magazine style stories or daily news. I am currently learning new software programs like InDesign, Muse and Premiere Pro to keep up with the rapid changes of digital media technology.
