Directs and coordinates the efforts of the billing staff in the management of department revenue accounts receivable. Taking into account trends in revenue cycle, develops departmental policies relating to revenue enhancement activities, billing and follow up processes, statistical analysis of reimbursement schedules, and development and management of relevant databases. Coordinates the maintenance and analysis of quality assurance data and supports the continual quality improvement efforts of the department. Analyzes and creates job descriptions, prepares supporting justification for both new positions and refilling of vacancies, and coordinates closely with HR to ensure that positions are filled timely so as to minimize outstanding AR due to lapses in necessary staff.
