Switch utilized was the Yurie LDR 100 and the exercise was designed to perform an RF integration test with Marine forces ashore. Established SOVT procedures for circuit and verified during exercise. * Engineered, designed, and performed Shipboard Verification test the Navy's Tactical Switching system (TSS) now being installed onboard all Navy amphibious ships. * Engineered and performed a TSS Telecommunication test with Joint Integration Testing Command (JITC) Division at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. The test integrated a TriTac based phone system and routed through the Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) JDE network at Old Town Camp SSC San Diego to SSC Topside and over satellite T1 to JITC. Performed an engineering study provided a baseline communication modeling support for Radio Frequency (RF) line of sight networks associated with TSS and ADNS communication suites supporting Marine detachments afloat. Set up and maintained and operated a proprietary Tactical Cell (TACCELL) based communication suite for AFCEA demonstration in San Diego. Communication suite utilized training frequencies in designated cell range and tied into Pacific Bell for ISDN capabilities.
