Nigel Bailey has developed a life long career in the insurance industry spanning some 40 years. He has operated in several countries with diverse cultures and languages. His career started as a student actuary and he later became a successful employee benefits consultant in the UK. Having been recruited by AIG, he set up their operations in Gibraltar to develop new products for a new market. His next move was to the Caribbean where he was appointed by the British Government as the first insurance regulator of the British Virgin Islands (B.V.I.). Since then he has operated in the captive management field, selling the concept of captive insurance companies to large and medium sized companies all over the world, although the largest market was the United States. For the last two years he has been involved in the technological revolution, helping to set up a company providing insurance solutions for the many platforms offering services in the "sharing economy" of which Uber and Airbnb are examples. He is skilled in selling to corporations and in developing new and innovative insurance products. He has an excellent understanding of how insurance companies are organized and, in particular, of their accounting procedures. Current positions: Owner/COO/Company Secretary Share Tempus, Inc. 2016 - present Co-owner and Co-founder of a SaaS company specializing in insurance for the sharing and GIG economies. We have developed an API that handles all aspects of insurance administration and claims, seamlessly and at a fraction of the cost of traditional insurance admin. Owner/Managing Director Americap Solutions, LLC 2014 - present Co-owner of a captive management company approved to manage Delaware licensed captives.
