Description
Experienced energetic Project Manager/Business Analyst ready to join your team with 20+ years of experience in project management and systems analysis having built two companies on my own worth over a million-dollars each. I graduated from Devry with a technical project management degree (BSTM, Magna Cum Laude 3.8 GPA), received my PMP certification from Rutgers University, and am a certified Scrum Master. Project management is my real true love. One of my strengths is identifying all possible project risks, quantitative analysis of identified risk, and possible risk response formulation to mitigate possible risks as efficiently and quickly as possible. Throughout my career, rarely did projects miss target dates or go over budget. I have had extensive contact with clients about defining project requirements, scheduling, and funding. My excellent communications skills will ensure clear and concise information to stakeholders and clients while ensuring leadership and direction to team members. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. I strive to be a consummate master at creating, documenting, and improving project processes. I can easily convey technical concepts and information to non-technical people in a context they can understand, relate to, and consequently act upon. Accomplishments * Created PublishASAP (a C corporation) to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge custom software solutions for some of the largest international publishers utilizing XML and HTML. Managed three different IT teams working on various software projects for each of the publishing projects. Designed and created GrafixMD software that was purchased by Precision Graphics to check and correct all graphics submitted by outsourced providers in India. Trained two Indian Companies to produce XML books for American based publishers for McGraw Hill. * Was the project manager in one of the largest projects for my company which transitioned 135 technical publications for IEEE into XML. Consulted with them on DTD and FOSI creation, which later transitioned into a schema format. Developed all of the data test files and ran the testing of the XML until all issues were resolved. Documented the XML structure and standards for outside vendors. * Created Movement Inc., which serviced large publishers. Did analysis on current publishing industry procedures, redesigned and streamlined those procedures, and used them internally. When publishers learned of our new publishing processes, they requested we start doing the same analysis and redesign on their outdated internal processes, which led to the creation of PublishASAP. Was responsible for all sales and produced annual revenue of $10 million and supported 150 employees. Managed all IT projects with the internal software development teams. Wrote all RFPs and RFQs to secure government contracts. Serviced the DOD and DOE branches for 2 consecutive 5 year contracts. * Was a guest member of the W3C standards committee for 15 years. * Was a guest speaker at many W3C XML conferences. Spoke about XML, HTML, DOM, DTD/Schemas, and how to design and implement them based off of a comprehensive feasibility study of the Company's documents and best practices. Case studies were also presented for XML implementations in STEM, military, and aerospace projects. * Project Manager for off-site IT professionals on custom software projects for many of my publishing clients for more than a decade. * Was the project manager and architect to convert 3,000 of McDonnell Douglas's aerospace manuals from a legacy format into XML. * Have a great deal of knowledge regarding mobile apps. Have coded with xcode in the past. Now most projects for mobile apps are using Xamarin so a single code set can compile for IOS and Android builds and submission to the App store and Google Play. * Very knowledgeable of the Business Analyst as well as QA procedures. Gathering business requirements and doing full QA testing and smoke testing when appropriate to ensure a high-quality deliverable to the client. * Won the Devry Senior Project Fair "Exceptional Technical Merit" award for an iPhone app I designed, wrote, and deployed for a local roofing company. * Created PublishASAP (a C corporation) to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge custom software solutions for some of the largest international publishers utilizing XML and HTML.
