CollapseDescription

I have been employed in academic medicine for the past 20 years. As such I have conducted pre-clinical research through maintaining multidisciplinary collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, rheumatologist, gastroenterologist, anesthesiologists, oncologists, academic principal investigators and pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer, Eli Lilly and Regeneron. We have been testing FDA-approved drugs on our animal models that resemble human diseases to examine drug efficacy, drug safety and potential gender differences. Our scientific findings were published in over 120 full-length peer reviewed papers, book chapters and over 250 research abstracts in the fields of age-related skeletal diseases, cancer and pain fields as highly translatable studies. The ultimate goal of all my pre-clinical projects have been to cure and alleviate the progression of human diseases. Pursuant to that goal, I have always hoped to engage more in clinical studies.
