Summary: Over a 30-year career, I led the publishing arm of Athlon Sports, taking over a small, primarily regional, publication and developed it into the national category leader in both magazine sales and advertising revenue. Gorilla Marketing Consultant - 2015 - present Over the past two years, I have served as a consultant for Gorilla marketing in Atlanta to help with the marketing and social media campaign for a college football highlights App. During that time I have participated in developing a strategy for launching a new App, marketing the existing Apps via social media in order to procure more downloads. Athlon Sports Director of Custom Publishing - 2014 - 15 In addition to small projects, I led a small team that developed a 160- page coffee table book titled, The American Annual: 2014 in Perspective. (AmericanAnnual.com) It is a compilation of significant events from 2014 and explores why they were relevant. The book includes more than 20 national writers and covers news, entertainment, sports and tributes to luminaries who passed away in 2014. Comfortable presenting to large groups at the executive level. Made numerous television and radio appearances as a guest. Volunteer Weekly volunteer at the Nashville Rescue Mission as a teacher in the men's Life Recovery Program. Assist in a classroom setting for men preparing for GED/HSE testing and general math skills. Also work one-on-one with students preparing for the GED/HSE test, enhancing their writing and language skills.
