ACCOMPLISHMENTS Purchasing & Inventory controls development: Company had no structure or strategy for the performance of purchases, determined on levels for each SKU based on sales and started cycles for purchasing. RESULT: Increased Inventory turnover for over 80% of SKU from a six to 12-month worth of inventory to 2-3 months based on sales. Increased Productivity: Improved productivity through scheduling of production staff dealing with a high employee absence. RESULT: Doubled product output and ended an over 6 months back order situation in less than 3 months, allowing company to move forward with marketing strategies to continue with growth. Space usage & Layout: Improved flow and layout to increase production throughput and improved resources usage. RESULT: Saved +400K by eliminating the need to get second warehouse through layout improvement and inventory control. Sales increase: Address customer complains of generic products to develop custom product to meet specific customer needs, through root cause analysis, material development, tooling design and re-design, as well as process improvement to meet final product requirements of performance and cost. RESULT: Assure over 500K in sales through ensuring customers to have a product meeting their performance and cost needs.
