COVER LETTER: Dear Sir: I will list the experiences that enable me to be qualified for the job you are offering. In 1973 I worked for Jim Walters' Urethane factory in Kentucky as the Plant Engineer. This factory ran 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and when I wasn't in the plant I was on call. My major achievement was learning how to incorporate electrical circuits into the existing equipment to modify their function. I was able to increase the efficiency of the plant from 70-90% because of these designs I was offered a job at a plant three times the size and they offered to double my salary, but I decided to work in the textile area and left their corporation. Being on call 24 hours per day wears a person down after a year of experience. In 1974 I worked in a Bemis Corporation Textile Mill in Honduras, Central America. I was able to lower the power bills using a power factor meter enabling me to purchase capacitor banks, the installation of them, and a cost savings of 100,000usd per year. I also was in charge of two expansions, one the finishing goods department, and the expansion of the spinning room. We also eliminated 300 workers from the mill using the Industrial Engineering Department which I started in the mill (time and motion study, etc.) I was promoted to Assistant Manager and doubled the sale volumes in the next year. Then the mill was burned down by employees and I left Honduras to work with Texaco in Coral Gables, Florida.
