I love doing hands-on software development, and I love leading and mentoring other developers. That's what I've done in one way or another for most of my twenty-plus-year career, and it's what I want to continue doing. Ideally I'd manage four to eight developers and spend half of my time doing hands-on work myself, but I'm flexible as to the balance of management and hands-on work. My focus for the past several years has been on the NodeJS stack and associated tooling. Prior to that, my server-side focus was on Java (Tomcat, Hibernate, Servlets, JSPs, etc.). As a front-end developer, JavaScript has been part of my toolset for my entire 20-year career.
