Accomplishments * Development: * Changed the role in a significant way for at least 25% of the people in the organization, the goal being the development of the individual. The objective is focused on providing people with new roles that they want to be doing. The evaluation of success was at 2 levels: a) achievement of this within an area, b) achievement of this goal for the overall organization. * Developed a methodology to capture and assess the organization's current skills inventory and implemented. * Created career development plans for all employees. Created forums for discussion and exploration of future opportunities. Actively engaged employees in conversation and in supporting their progress. * Ensured that 75% of the organization attended 3 days of training/development/education. (Mandatory corporate training was not counted towards the 3 days of training/education.) * Management: Ensured that each employee receives thoughtful management guidance and support, by: * Implemented an organizational structure where each people manager had an appropriate number of direct reports and span of control. * Ensured that each employee received timely a) performance review, b) objectives, c) mid year reviews and, d) self-assessment conversations. * Ensured that each people manager holds 'one on one' meetings with direct reports at least once a month. Each director group will hold staff meetings at least monthly Operational organizational meetings will be held monthly. Additionally, the leadership met quarterly to revisit the goals and strategic plans for Operations, and conveyed decisions to the organization following the meeting. * Improved support of and alignment between the managers within the organization. Established vehicles for managers to share information, in support of their roles. Aligned the role of managers to be more similar between teams. * Esprit de Corps: Supported and fostered the success, health, and welfare of the organization, multifamily, the corporation and its mission. Supported efforts and engaged in activities that enhanced the visibility and reputation of the organization to Multifamily and the company overall, as well as enhanced Multifamily and the corporation in general.
