Incorporated company, established agreements with manufacturing facilities in China, arranged cargo and distribution agreement, patent pending on key component, insurance, building sale force and strategy. 2008 - 2009 YourOutDoors, Inc. - Dallas COO/CFO of company that patented and launched a garden tool system sold through retail outlets. Worked on the patented design that included interchangeable garden tools. Developed strategy for the development of product, and established its operations, administration, manufacturing, and sales. 2003 - 2007 Westside Kitchen and Bath - Dallas As CFO, assisted in the startup of Kitchen and bath hardware store selling to builders of upscale homes in Dallas area. Installed and maintained a network and software for preparation of estimates, inventory control, and accounting. 2000 - 2002 Spencer Design - Dallas COO of a commercial interior design firm specializing in telecommunication companies such as SBC, MCI, Time Warner, and Worldcom. Responsible for overall daily operations of the company with 70+ interior designers and architects. During my tenure the company, which had been struggling from growing pains and declining sales revenue, grew sales revenue from $3 million to $10 million. 1998 - 1999 Printing Research - Dallas CFO/COO of company manufacturing supplies and accessories for large four color printing presses. Monitored the companies over 100 patents. Co-ordinated a patent infringement lawsuit against International Paper, including the negotiation of a settlement which included a 5 year, $20 million contract to private label products for International Paper. 1988 - 1997 Audio Visual Presentations - Fort Worth Hired to start a company to rent audio, visual and video equipment to hotels and businesses in the DFW area. Expanded the company to include installation of Audio Video Systems to commercial clients such as American Airlines, Bell Helicopter, and colleges in the area. 1985 - 1988 Tower Network - Dallas Rose to the position of CFO of this company which was one of five companies in the country that constructed and maintained broadcast towers over 1,250 feet. Originally was hired to straighten out the accounting and re-negotiate loans. Later supervised accounting, and negotiated contracts with television and radio stations for new construction/maintenance. 1982 - 1984 Best Barite - Louisiana Brought in as CFO to this 18 month old company with $20 million per year sales revenue manufacturing Barite for the oil drilling industry - that had no reliable accounting since its inception. In four months brought the accounting current and received a clean audit which allowed for a renewal of $20 million in bank loans. Continued as CFO as the company grew to $60 million. 1976 - 1981 OKC Corp., LA & TX Started as Cost Accountant for Cement Division. Analyzed costs of manufacturing cement and justifications for capital expenditures. In 1978 became cost accountant for all divisions of company, and in 1979 became Controller of Cement Division supervising monthly accounting at the plant level.
