Successful implementation of CATIA V5 and Enovia Smarteam PLM Systems across Driessen Global Engineering Groups. The move to "model-based" definition will eliminate 2D documentation and take advantage of reduce cost, cut time to market, and provide an ever increasing service level to our customer base. Customers requested satellite communication devices, direct TV and security camera installations co-located on single platform mounted on tail of Gulfstream aircraft. Formed team of technical experts to design solution to customer requests. Retrofit 65 in-service aircraft and offered package as new order option. Earned prestigious "Gold Pride Award" for contributions. Integrated Internet connectivity into in-service Gulfstream aircraft, creating multi-million dollar revenue stream. Business aviation clients wanted to search the Internet, read and send e-mail including large attachments and eventually participate in video-conferencing with voice imaging over the Internet, while traveling in company's aircraft. Incorporated existing Gulfstream-designed "Broad-Band Multi-Link" system into operating Gulfstream aircraft, demonstrating performance reliability and meeting customer demands for service. Created aircraft communication suite, enabling Gulfstream to win lucrative international contracts. Company was seeking opportunity to enter Governmental Special Missions Aircraft modification arena. Gulfstream secured first-of-a-kind special mission aircraft order from Japanese Coastguard. Led design team, producing, integrating and certifying communication suite while providing design modifications to aircraft. Modified two aircraft under budget and on-time. Directed retrofit program at client's facility, improving dispatch reliability to 99.5% for Boeing aircraft. Client, United Airlines, introduced Boeing 747-400 aircraft into fleet and was seeking improvement on 94% dispatch reliability. Formed and led cross-functional team, identifying areas to improve reliability. Introduced program enhancements and led parts retrofit program, raising reliability rates to targeted levels.
