COVER LETTER: Dear Sir or Madam: I am interested in applying for the family nurse practitioner position at your facility. I work full-time as a Clinic Manager and Family Nurse Practitioner at a Walgreens HealthCare Clinic in both Rockwall and Carrollton, Texas. I graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at The University of Southern Mississippi in 2011. I am currently certified through The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). I have experience in providing direct care that includes completing comprehensive and focused assessments, administering medications and team-work. I am comfortable providing care for all age groups: infants, toddlers, teens, adults, and geriatrics. As a family nurse practitioner, I feel that it is important to provide exceptional care to all ages, regardless of their culture, disability, sexual preference, religious background or lifestyle. Proper healthcare requires unlimited health promotion and disease management along with routine follow up visits in order to make sure that maximum results are being received. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I am competent in family practice, wound care, orthopedics, mental health, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and emergency care. The skills that I am proficient in are injections, splinting, suturing, reading electrocardiographs and conducting basic X-ray interpretations.
