SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Practicing Professional Engineer since July 1982, having an extensive experience, working with reputed International Consulting Engineering, EPC Firms, Project Management firms and Petrochemical Giant like SABIC on its Mega Petrochemical Process Plants, Fertilizers, Olefins, Air Separation Units and with BECHTEL on The Royal Commission's prestigious Infrastructure and Electromechanical Projects including Sea Water Cooling Pump Stations, District Cooling Plant, Process Pipelines for ARAMCO, Large diameter GRP pipeline projects for supplying Seawater to process industries in Jubail -II, a rapidly developing Industrial Estate in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Working since last 18 years in Saudi Arabia. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Currently, working with Bechtel and managing multiple Construction Contracts at a time, worth 1200 Million Saudi Riyals. I am leading a Team of Field Engineers, Assistant Resident Engineers, and Professionals who are helping me in managing and completing the assigned Contracts on time and within budget, maintaining the highest standards of SAFETY and QUALITY. The responsibilities span over the complete Project Cycle, starting from Design Review through Construction until Closeout. The major activities and responsibilities include: * Constructability and Design Review at various stages of Engineering Design. * Review of Contract Documents. * Contractors' Bid Evaluation. * Support Procurement assessing Bidders' Technical and Commercial Proposals. * Managing the Projects after award to the qualified bidder until closeout, which includes following major activities: * Handing over the Project Site to the successful Contractor and approving its lay down area and Site Offices. * Processing necessary Work Permits for the Contractor and guiding him all the way to get permits from Third Parties like Royal Commission (RC), ARAMCO, MARAFIQ and SEC. * Approving Contractor's Key Personnel. * Review and Approval of the Contractor's Technical Submittals and Technical Queries with the help of designated team of Professionals. * Review and Approval of Material Submittals. * Review and Approval of Vendors and Sub-contractors. * Review and Approval of Baseline Schedule. * Technical and Contractual Correspondence. * Managing Design Change Notices and Commercial Negotiations. * Liaison with Vendors to expedite procurement process and ensure timely delivery of Long Lead Items. * Review and Approval of Method Statements for all Major Construction Activities. * Review and Approval of Rigging/Lifting Plans and supervising major lifts at Site. * Conducting Weekly Progress Meetings and Monitoring Progress. Providing directions to the Contractor in case of lack of progress. * Ensure compliance to the Company's ES &H Policy, Quality Standards and Contract's Specifications * Technical and Contractual Correspondence. * Conducting regular Safety and Quality walk downs of the Project Site to ensure Safely, Quality and Progress. Directing the Team and the Contractors to rectify the deficiencies, if any. * Field Design Support. * Providing the Project Progress Summary to the Senior Management of Client * Ensure spending of project wise allocated budget on time. * Approving the Contractor's Monthly Invoices. * Negotiating and managing the Contractor's Change Orders. * In house coordination with Engineering and other disciplines. * Managing Mechanical Completion, Testing and Commissioning Process. * Liaison with the End Users and manage closing of Punch/Deficiency List. * Managing the process of submission and approval of As Built Drawings, QC Dossiers, O&M Manuals. * Manage Closing of the Contracts by producing necessary internal documents and coordinating with different stakeholders. * Preparing Contractor's quarterly evaluation reports. * Supervising an directing a Team of Field QC and Inspection Engineers. * Development, Training and Career Development of Reporting Staff. Also having an extensive experience in Structural Design, Detailing and Review of Reinforced, Pre-stressed Concrete and Steel Structures, Technical Report Writing, Preparing Engineering Specifications, FEED, Estimation and Cost Verification of Change Orders, Engineering Design Management etc.
